Complex projects rarely fail because of a lack of ideas. They fail when strategy, people, resources, communication, and execution aren’t connected. As a project head with the International Committee of the Red Cross, I was responsible for helping translate programme objectives into practical systems, coordinated execution, and measurable outcomes. The challenge required balancing strategic planning with day-to-day implementation across multiple moving parts.
